Magnetically coupled rotary feedthrough

Description

Our range of rotary feedthroughs enable rotation to be transferred into a vacuum system, using a stiff high flux magnetic coupling.

  •     no need for bellows or sliding seals - smooth operation
  •     extremely robust design, fully compatible with UHV environments
  •     manual drive with position lock
  •     maximum bakeout temperature: 200°C (magnet drive removed)
  •     maximum torque and angular accuracy depending on the type of magnet used for magnetic coupling (SmCo or NdFeB)
  •     motorised units optional
  •     dual rotary drives optional

Out-of-vacuum bearings are accessible for lubrication and the magnet drive is easily removable.

Our magnetically coupled rotary feedthroughs are supplied mounted on CF UHV flanges of different diameters to meet the system flange and torque requirements of each application.

This model can be used for a wide range of applications such as PLD target clocking and continuous rotation of targets and substrates.
